Superstar Rajnikanth's Kochadaiyan will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin and assited by KS Ravikumar. EROS International along with Media One will act as the Production house. The film is slated for August 2012 release.

Wiki says, Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran (reigned 710-735) was a Pandyan king. He was the son and successor of Arikesari Maravarman.

Rajinikanth's next film will be 'Kochadaiyaan' and this hi-tech 3D film will release even before 'Rana'. This film will mark the first ever usage of performance capturing technology for a 3D flick in India!

It may be mentioned that box-office super hits 'Avatar' by James Cameron and 'The Adventures of Tintin' by Steven Spielberg were produced with the same performance capturing technology in Hollywood.

KS Ravikumar has written the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from supervising the direction of the film, the film will be directed by Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth. The film is produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment Limited. The work is progressing in a fast pace and is scheduled for release in August 2012.
