Action hero Salman back to square one

Bollywood star Salman Khan very recently acquired the title of an ‘Action’ star as before that he was the most admired lover boy of our times. From his chocolaty looks to his lover boy image in his films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ and ‘Tere Naam’, he was well known for his romantic streak.

However the star who recently rocked the ‘action’ genre might soon get back to his roots as he apparently has mended all the differences with director Sooraj Barjatya and the two may soon work together in a film. Apparently the actor who has been refusing some offers citing busy schedule couldn’t turn down the one coming from Sooraj.

Hence he has reportedly also signed the dotted line. This one too will be a love story where Salman’s character will be named as ‘Prem’. The main reason behind Salman signing the flick is that the lad confessed of being bored by doing back to back action films and hence wants to do a light hearted romantic film.

‘Dabangg 2′ first draft of the script is ready!

Arbaaz Khan has begun work in full flow on the sequel to his National Award winning film ’Dabangg’ and says the first draft of the script is ready.

"Work on ’Dabangg 2’ in on. We are waiting for Salman (Khan) bhai’s dates. We are likely to begin the production in mid-September next year," Arbaaz said at the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) at Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon.

The film, starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, became 2010’s biggest blockbuster by earning Rs.145 crore.

Arbaaz admits he is nervous about making a sequel.

"There is a little nervousness for sure as the expectations are high but we would definitely be presenting something good and interesting," he added.(IANS)

Salman Khan confirms 'Kanchana'!

Although talks have been going on from long, it's now official that Salman Khan will be remaking Raghava Lawrence's 'Kanchana' in Hindi. The film tasted success in the Tamil and Telugu BO, especially at the B and C centers.

This was revealed by Salman Khan's brother who revealed to the media that this remake will go on floors next for Salman. It is also said that the film might see a release in 3D, which seems to have become quite the fad of the day in Indian cinema.

This yet-to-be-titled venture will kick-start after Salman finishes work on 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

However, unlike earlier reports that Raghava Lawrence would direct the project in Hindi, it looks like Sohail Khan will wield the megaphone.

'Kanchana' is a supernatural thriller that has many twists to its plot, with two main characters, the protagonist and the spirit. It's not just another gory horror movie but has a strong social message to it which was well-accepted in the south; we'll have to wait to know if the magic will repeat in Hindi as well.
