Mamootty, who is currently in the sets of 'King and the Commissioner' which is heading toward the finale shoot, will join the sets of 'Kobra' by the last week of November. A thriller with plenty of comedy, the movie will also have Lalu Alex, Salimkumar, Harishree Ashokan in the important roles.
After a few years from their last hit together, Padmapriya will once again unite with Mammootty for the new movie. The latest reports suggest that Padmapriya will play the female lead together with Lekshmy Rai for the new movie 'Kobara' which will have Lal and Mammootty doing the heroes. Directed and produced by Lal, 'Kobra will have Mammootty as Raja while Lal will appear as kari and the movie will tell the intense bonding between these two. A comedy action thriller in the scripts of Lal, 'Kobara' will be jointly produced by Playhouse and Lal movies.
After completing 'Kobra', the next project from the megastar will be 'News Maker' which will be on sets by January. Meanwhile, Mammooty, who is currently a little disturbed with four continuous flops, will be eagerly waiting for his 'Venicile Vyaapari,' his new movie with Shafi. Since their last three movies together were good hits, 'Venicile Vyaapari' is also expected to start off well. With plenty of period based comedies about the eighties, before the arrival of mobile phones and colour TV's, the movie will also present a remix of the famous hit 'Kannum Kannum' which was a chart topper of the time.Poonam Bjwa and Kavya Madhavan are the heroines of the movie which will also feature all comedy regulars of Mollywood.
