The much-hyped Osthi, a remake of Hindi hit Dabangg starring Silambarasan in the lead role was slated for release this Diwali.
But at the last moment it is made known that the movie will not hit the screens. Sources close to the unit say that the post-production works may take little more time and that they may withhold the release this Diwali.
The movie directed by Dharani features Simbu playing the role enacted by Salman Khan in the original while Richa plays his ladylove. Sonu Sood is also in the cast. S Thaman has scored the music and Mallika Sherawat has appeared for a song in it.
