Karthi's Saguni will feature actress Mumtaz in a different role. The actress, who was last seen in Vijaya T Rajendher's Veerasamy, is playing a role with negative shades in Saguni.
Sources close to her say, ' it is a meaty role and she enjoys being part of such a coveted project'.
Saguni, directed by debutant Shankar Dayal is a political thriller with Karthi in the lead role. Pranitha plays his female lead while music is by G V Prakash.
