Oh My Friend would be released by Dil Raju in the overseas market, but there is an interesting story about Siddharth holding the rights before the producer could lay his hands on it.  As soon as he heard the script of Oh My Friend, Siddharth was so impressed with the story that he immediately bought the overseas rights of the film.

The rights were held by him all through when the film was in the making.  After the music was launched, Sid reveals, many parties evinced interest in buying the rights.  Finally, Dil Raju bought the rights after he insisted on buying them ever since he watched the rushes of OMF, along with Sid.

So writes Sid:  Post the music launch of Oh My Friend, offers have been pouring in for the overseas rights! Yesterday something very special happened after Dil Raju and I saw OMF.  He was so confident about the film, that he bought back the overseas rights from me!"

The romantic entertainer, which highlights about unconditional friendship includes Siddarth, Shruthi Hassan, Navdeep and Hansika, is directed by Venu Sriram.  Lots of hype surrounds the movie, especially among the youngsters.

Blockbuster Bommarillu combination Dil Raju and Siddarth is gearing up to repeat the magic with Oh My Friend.

Siddharth with James Bond director as "Srinivasa Ramanujam"!!!!!!!

Siddharth is gearing up to play the lead role in a film by director Roger Spottiswoode, who had made the James Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies'. In the movie, the actor will be playing math genius Srinivasa Ramanujam, who rewrote the history of numbers.

Spottiswoode, who is part of the international competition jury of the Mumbai Film Festival, said the film was not a biography of Ramanujan who died at the young age of 32. It will rather deal with his friendship with G H Hardy, the man who first spotted his talent in Cambridge.

"Roger was thoroughly impressed by Siddharth's performance in Rang De Basanti, which was recommended to him by one of his friends. He immediately decided that the actor should play Srinivasa Ramanujam in his next movie," say sources close to the development.

"Siddharth was thrilled to get a call from Roger and he went to England to listen the script, which impressed him. The actor immediately expressed his consent to be part of the movie, which he hopes would take him to international audience," they add.

The south Indian actor, who is popular in Bollywood too, is currently part of Deepa Mehta's film adaptation of Salman Rushdie's Booker winner Midnight's Children. In Kollywood, post 'Nootrenbadhu', he is at present acting in a romantic-comedy titled 'Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi', directed by newcomer Balaji.

Titled The First Class Man, the film's scripting has been completed and shooting is being planned from next year.

O My Friend audio on October 15

Star producer Dil Raju’s upcoming movie O My Friend audio is gearing up for release on October 15. According to our sources, the audio launch will be a grand gala event in Hyderabad. Rahul Raj is making his debut in Tollywood with this film. The album has 6 songs in it.  The song released recently received good feedback from listeners.

The film is being directed by debutant Venu Sriram. Navdeep and Hansika are playing important characters in this movie. It is heard that Siddarth and Shruti Haasan are playing the roles of musicians in this romantic comedy entertainer.

The shooting of the film is almost completed except for a song. The film is expected to release in the second week of November.
