Nanban stars Vijay and Ileana in lead roles, while Jiiva, Srikanth, and Sathyaraj does the supporting roles. Nanban is remake of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster hit movie 3 Idiots and it being produced by Gemini Film Circuit.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s much expected film Nanban shooting has been going fast. Director Shankar recently has completed the second schedule of the movie in Dehradun. As per sources nearly 75 percent of the movie is over. Vijay and Ileana had flowed to Amsterdam in Netherlands along with Shankar and his Nanban team for a song shooting. Earlier Shankar has shot at the same location for the song “Kumari Kumari” in Anniyan.
Harris Jayaraj scores music for the film while Anthony does editing. Currently Nanban shooting is going at full speed in areas of Coimbatore, Ooty, Andaman and Amsterdam. Vijay is currently busy shooting for Nanban in Chennai. Along with Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth and Ileana are also taking part in the shooting. Nanban team is expected to shoot in Chennai city for some weeks. Once the shooting is over Director Shankar is planning to shoot the songs next and the entire Nanban unit will fly to Spain to shoot the songs in some of the country’s hot spots.
Shankar has modified the script to suit Tamil sensibilities, so those who have already seen 3 Idiots will find a few surprises. Nanban is slotted for a Diwali release and it is hoped that work will be wrapped up by then. As per sources in another few weeks the entire shoot of the film will be over and its post production work may start. Nanban produced by Gemini Film Circuit is expected to be a Big 2011 Diwali release.
The movie release has almost been confirmed and may soon we can see a official announcement of the release date of film. So this Diwali all Vijay fans get ready for fireworks on screen!
