As earlier reported, AR Murugadoss has the plans of remaking his 2002 super hit 'Ramana' in Hindi on his cards. However, the film might go on floors with Akshay Kumar as the lead and not Aamir Khan as it was speculated.
It is said that the yet-to-be-titled venture in Hindi will be produced by Vipul Shah and star Akshay Kumar playing the lead and that the script has undergone few modifications to suit the trend and the star's image.
'Ramana' that released about a decade back is directed by AR Murugadoss and features Vijaykanth and Simran in the lead roles and tasted success at the BO and was much appreciated by the critics as well.
It may be mentioned that AR Murugadoss remade the film in Telugu as 'Tagore' with Chiranjeevi in the lead and it was yet another smashing hit and he also remade his 'Ghajini' in Hindi with the same title with Aamir and Asin on-board.
This remake venture will go on floors in 2012 after the duo finish their prior commitments.
